£500 up for grabs in label competition

designs on wine

Award-winning Littlehamptopn-based label printer AJS Labels has created a fantastic prize for designs on wines: £500 worth of labels from AJS for the winner of the ‘Highest shelf appeal’ category, the best in show label.
This vital contribution will be awarded to the winner of this category and make a substantial contribution to future sales of that wine, believes James Graham, ukvine co-founder and editorial director.
He says: “This is most fantastic and generous gesture from AJS. I was recently at their Litttlehampton location and they stressed that, with a courier service, any vineyard in England and Wales is accessible. The quality of their work speaks for itself but, more importantly, their understanding of the requirements of the production of a successful wine label is second to none.
“I am also pleased that they saw the value of this competition, both to raise their own profile within the UK industry but also how designs on wine itself can be a vehicle to raise the bar on label designs.”

Competition extended

In order to allow the greater number of vineyards to take advantage of this prize, the deadline of the designs on wine competition has been moved to 23:59 April 14, 2012.
Graham says: “We wanted to ensure that as many vineyards and designers could enter the designs on wine competition to take advantage of this prize so have added a further two weeks to the deadline. With £500 up for grabs and an extension to the competition, there are now 514 more reasons to enter designs on wine.”
