A Birmingham city centre fine dining restaurant is celebrating English wine with an English Sparkling Wine dinner and a tasting menu over June and July.
Loves Restaurant, on Birmingham’s Canal Square, Browning Street, is to hold a Nyetimber sparkling wine dinner on Thursday July 12 to celebrate and taste “one of the most revered estates currently producing English Sparkling wine this century,” say proprietors Steve and Clair Love.
They say: “Nyetimber is still the largest sparkling wine vineyard in the country stretching over 400 acres and continuing to win national awards for their outstanding wines. When Nyetimber was first launched in 1996 it received such acclaim that within 12 months, it was selected to for the Queen’s Golden Anniversary lunch.”
On the evening, the couple will host Jo Gunn from Nyetimber estate as speaker who will talk through the estate and offer “a rare opportunity for us to try some private vintage stock. Find out for yourself why Nyetimber sets the bar so high and is considered the jewel in the crown of England’s sparkling wine industry,” they say.
