Busy bee at English wine festival

An English wine festival with added art is to be held this coming weekend at a south London wine merchant.
Following on from the success of its last event, North & South Wines is staging an English Wine Festival with artist Val Littlewood, described as a “stunning line-up of the best the English trade has to offer” by promoter Nathan Meyers.
Working with the store’s proprietors Marco and Harriet Napolitano, the wine festival will be showcasing, among others, wines from Bolney Estate, Chapel Down, Giffords Hall, Ickworth and Nyetimber.
Meyers says: “The format will allow producers to showcase their wines to our customers in a market stall concept. Dedicated sessions with the producers will take place where customers can learn more about wine and wine-growing in England.”
Littlewood is known as ‘the bee lady’ and painstakingly captures instances in the lives of fascinating British bees and has been an artist, illustrator, designer and lecturer for many years. Currently her exhibition, “Buzz, A Celebration of British Bees”, is touring the UK.

The festival is being held on Saturday, September 3 from 11am to 9pm at North & South Wines, 63 Broomwood Rd, SW11 6HU. North & South Wines 020 7228 2431
