At least 15 of the ”finest wines of Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex” are due to take centre stage at the 2012 Wine Fest at the Haslemere Food Festival later this month.
The evening wine tasting is to be staged on Saturday, September 15 from 7.00pm at the Haslemere Museum, High Street, Haslemere as part of the town’s two-week festival that held in the first half of the month. It is the seventh occasion the festival has been staged.
“Come and meet the wine producers on your doorstep now making reputations around the world with new styles of English wine,” say organisers.
Tickets for the event, which cost £10 per person, are available from Haslemere Cellar. The event includes ten tasting samples and cheeses and interactive tasting trail with prizes.
Vineyards that have been signed up to attend the event include Bluebell Vineyard; Breaky Bottom; Bolney Wine Estate; Danebury Vineyards; Davenport Vineyard; Fernhurst Estate; Henners; Jenkyn Place; Nutbourne Vineyards; Nyetimber; Plumpton College; Ridgeview; Stopham Estate; Tinwood Estate; Upperton Vineyard; and Wickham Estate.
