Leading wine merchant Bibendum is working with a Birmingham city centre hotel to kick off a
a series of wine & food evenings with “a celebration of all things English.”
The Hotel La Tour is holding a Wine Dinner on July 19.
Hotel managers consider that this year has seen “lots of focus on the array of fantastic wines being produced on our shores, [so] now is the time to discover more about English wine.”
The evening’s wines have been sourced from some of England’s finest wineries; Chapel Down, Furleigh Estate and a’becketts, and will be matched to Alex Penhaligon’s menu.
Bibendum’s wine experts will be on hand to talk through the wines and to answer questions. The cost of the meal is £65 per person. A stay over with breakfast at the hotel is available for £89.
