Getting the low-down at Highdown

A series of WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) classes on offer to anyone interested in wins and spirits, including UK-produced wine, is being hosted by Highdown Vineyard in Worthing, Sussex.

WSET Level 1 and Level 2 courses are being staged by vin-ed, the Sussex-based hospitality industry training consultancy founded by industry veteran Neil Libby at the Sussex vineyard’s newly created conference facility.

The next ’ Level 1 in a day’ course will be held on Saturday, March 3 from 9.30am to 4.30pm while Level 2 days will be held on Saturday, March 10, 17, 24 and 31 from 9am to 5pm at the vineyard on the Littlehampton Road, Ferring, Worthing. Level 2 is also being staged every Tuesday until 17 April 7pm to 9pm or May 1 until July 3 from 7pm to 9pm at Tides Restaurant, Goring.

Libby says: “Wine is a global product but there is growing interest in English wine. The centre I use at Highdown is one of the best conference rooms I have ever utilised.”
