Vine lease holders who want to be re-united with their vines at Kent grower Chapel Down are invited to what CEO Frazer Thompson is promising to be a “fun” afternoon next month. The vineyard’s 2012 Vine Lease Holders Picking Day has been set for Wednesday, October 10.
Thompson says: “We’ll shortly be inviting our 2012 vine lease holders for their day of picking on Wednesday 10th October. We will be sending out details by post. It’s a fun afternoon of picking your own fruit to make your own wines.
“It starts with extensive Health and Safety briefings on how to use secateurs without cutting your fingers, every year there’s someone, not to run with them and how not to trip over. The picking is preceded or followed by a lunch or special supper and it is always good fun regardless of the weather,” he says.
Call the Sales Office on tel: 01580 763033 if you are a 2012 lease holder and have any questions and to book your place on the picking day.
