English and Welsh wine producers are beginning to sign up for The Source & Taste of the West trade show which takes place 23-24 April 2012 at the Westpoint Exhibition Centre near Exeter.
This popular trade show attracted over 2,000 buyers last year, up 20% on 2010’s total and organisers are expecting a great turnout. “Attendance is essential – it enables buyers from retail and food service to find exactly what consumers want right now,” say the organisers.
Currently Polgoon vineyard and the Lyme Bay Winery from England and Condessa from Wales are set to attend the two-day event.
“Food and drink buyers and retailers can meet passionate producers face-to-face and hear their stories at first hand, then share them with their customers. They can also make accurate and meaningful comparisons between products, side by side. Plus there’s no substitute for experiencing the taste, smell, presentation and packaging on a sensory level,” say the organisers.
It’s also an opportunity to meet all the main Industry Associations, see what they offer and pick up the latest issues of trade magazines.
The Newcomers’ area, introduced at the 2011 show, gives buyers the opportunity to discover, experience and source new products before they become widely available.
