Introducing Hush Heath’s 2013 vintage

Hush Heath is excited to unveil the next vintage of its flagship wine, Balfour Brut Rosé, just in time for Christmas. 2013 was an unusually late harvest as it waited patiently for the best balance of sugars and acid in the grapes. Picking began with the Pinot Noir on 22nd October and the final batch of Chardonnay came in on the 7th November.

After a secondary fermentation in bottle (Champagne method) this wine then spent three years ageing on its lees. It delivers hints of rosehip, greengage and apple on the nose and has a palate bursting with white currant, quince and lime. Balfour Brut Rosé 2013 is “a very elegant sparkling wine with nicely restrained acidity and a wonderfully long finish”. A perfect fizz for the festive season, claims the producer.
