Monsoon May drowns out Plumpton open day

An open day, offering wine tasting and wine sales, as well as an opportunity to explore its courses and career opportunities in the wine industry, at Plumpton College planned for this Saturday (May 12) has been cancelled, having fallen victim to Monsoon May.
Wet ground forced the cancellation of the day, which would have provided course information, apprenticeships, bespoke training and employer training, with careers advice is available on the day. Many rural organisations, craft and trade stands would have been present.
The wine science centre attracts smany volunteers, keen to register for tutored sessions in wine tasting as well as buying Plumpton Estate and alumni wines, says the Sussex-based college.
“The wine department has developed an innovative, wine skills programme, offering viticulture training for the UK wine industry. The commercial, on-site wine science centre offers unique wine courses within Europe. Wine tours can be booked for enjoyable and informative summer evenings,” says the college.
At the time of writing, no alternative date was available.
