Tour places available at Bothy Vineyard

Bothy Vineyard

Oxfordshire’s Bothy Vineyard is offering an unexpected opportunity to join a vineyard and winery tour this Saturday, thanks to a smaller-then-expected tour party, say owners Richard and Sian Liwicki.
She says: “We have a tour group booked in for this Saturday 28 July, starting at 10.45 am. It is a slightly smaller-than-expected group so if there are any of you out there who have never been on a tour, and who would like to join in, this is a possibility. The tour is two hours long and includes an hour in the vineyard and an hour in the winery.
“There is also a free tutored wine tasting (with cheese and biscuits). The tour costs £7.50 per head. If you would like to join us please email us ASAP – or better still, please give us a call – and we will confirm if there is a place. Places are limited, as we can only fit 30 people in the winery.”
The couple also say that its 2011 oaked white wine (Oxford Fume) has just been blended and is currently being analysed. Since it is likely that it will be bottled in August and it will then need some bottle time to “come round”, it will not be released this summer.
Liwicki says: “It will probably be released at the end of the year or in 2013. For all those who have asked for it, please accept our apologies – but we assure you that it will be worth the wait!”
Supplies of Cote Bothy, Oxford Dry, Renaissance and The Doctor’s Bacchus are available in stock.
